Due to the Coronavirus, there will not be the La Habra Corn Festival this year. We are still waiting for news about the Fullerton Farmers Market. We started some blogs. The links for the blogs are at the end of this newsletter.
Basing Beliefs on the Ultimate Authority of the Creator
Introduction
Believers in the Creator God of the universe should be as concerned as He is, that all humans have an opportunity to understand and believe in this God for their salvation. This includes the many young people who have left the church because their deep questions about life and its meaning and origins were never answered. Believers should realize there are comprehensive and compelling answers to these essential questions based on the authority of the Bible whose author is the all-knowing Creator of everything. They need to be eager to share these answers which are backed by solid evidence in observational science. For the basis of the answers to these basic questions forms the foundation for what people believe about many issues, including whether there is a God and a need to be saved by Him, for the forgiveness of sins.

It is appropriate to question the source of information for its legitimacy, to know if the information is true. Each new generation of humans, rightfully questions things in order to understand, and to hopefully seek the truth. Some adults are eager to give them their “answers”, based on human wisdom, in order to gain support and recognition for their beliefs and lifestyles.
Are believers in the Holy Bible eagerly committed to help young people find answers to their questions, based on the written word of God?
1 Peter 3:15 says: “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have but do this with gentleness and respect”.
It is important to consider the source of these answers or viewpoints that are always part of a larger worldview consisting of a framework of consistent beliefs on many issues. People providing answers to honest questions should be willing to identify the source of their answers, so that the seeker can discern the truthfulness of the answer based on the character of the source.
(Cult leaders and propagators of the “Gnostic Gospels” are usually unwilling to do this).
The source of human wisdom is capable of lying but, it is also completely incapable of making anything from absolutely nothing, or of achieving other supernatural acts. Humans can be deceitful, and they can’t perform miracles.
The source of divine wisdom is not capable of lying, and it claims to have supernaturally created the first existence of everything, as well as the natural processes of reproduction. Genesis says God created the universe and all life. Numbers 23:19 says; “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind… “.
The antithesis of divine wisdom is from the source of Satan, who has limited supernatural powers, and is the father of lies.
The person who provides Biblical answers to the seeker, should be eager to point out the nature of the divine source of those answers, and contrast that with the nature of the source of human wisdom, and the source of Satanic inspiration. The Biblical answers can be considered trustworthy for three reasons.
Young people are seeking answers to profound questions including “Where did I come from?”, “Who am I?”, “What is the purpose of my life?”
The Biblical answers to these questions are basically; “You are a human being created in the image of God, by God and for God, in order to know God and worship Him”. This relates directly to the 2nd reason why the Bible is trustworthy. It is trustworthy because the Bible is the word of the One who was able to create you, whereas nothing else can. He is the one who also knows you best.
Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mother's womb”.
Matthew 10:30 “And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered”.
These questions are a search for a core belief on the origins of life. One’s belief in how life originated, establishes a foundation for a person’s worldview, which is a framework of beliefs on the all-important issues. This can be seen by logically following the reasoning behind the belief in “Macro Evolution” as the source of life, instead of God. (Social Darwinism).
Abortion is Acceptable if the fetus is only a lesser-evolved form of a developing human. This is based on the Recapitulation Argument of Evolution.
Racism is Alright if different ethnic races are at different stages of human evolutionary development. Evolution provided justification for Eugenics.
Euthanasia is OK if sick or old people are only at the dying end of the life and death struggle of evolutionary development. Survival of Fittest.
Freedom is Expendable if humans are purposeless products of mindless evolutionary development by mere chance.
Morality is Optional if humans are merely evolved animals with only instincts and no sense of right and wrong.
Faith in God is irrelevant if no life was created by God, but only by mindless natural processes. If life didn’t need God, in order to come into existence, humans don’t need God in their lives. The authority of God in all matters of life can be dismissed if God is not the creator of all life.
Evolution and Naturalistic Materialism denies the existence of a creator in order to not be accountable to Him.
Consequently, evolutionists assign unobserved and improbable “supernatural powers” to impersonal natural processes, to make them capable of creating life from non-living matter, and matter from nothing.
However, the Creator God did observe His own process of supernaturally creating everything and was also capable enough to record and preserve His creation account in His written Word. The Creator is truly a trustworthy source of authority to answer our questions, and to base our beliefs upon.

- It is not in the nature of God to lie or deceive.
- The exclusive supernatural power of God to create everything from nothing demonstrates that He has the power to know the truth, and the authority to establish the truth.
- Archeological evidence indicates the contents of the Bible, (God’s Word), have never changed, and are historically accurate in relating human events.
